If you haven't heard already...
Passerelle is extremely excited to partner with the City of Los Altos and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art to bring an innovative contemporary art exhibition called Project Los Altos: SFMOMA in Silicon Valley to downtown Los Altos from November 9, 2013 until March 2, 2014! Showcasing nine renowned contemporary artists from all over the world, Project Los Altos is uniquely pioneering for two main reasons. First, seven of the nine artists have created new site-specific works that have been directly inspired by Los Altos and Silicon Valley. Second, the art will reside in a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the downtown - from otherwise-vacant retail storefronts to nearby parks to even the middle of a downtown intersection and the inside of an active retail shop!
The entire exhibition is free and open to the public. Hours vary by location: the three primary indoor galleries will be open Wednesday through Sunday 10am to 6pm, and the outdoor locations are of course viewable at any time. The exhibit located inside the Costume Bank will be viewable Mon, Thurs, and Fri noon-5pm, Sat 11am-5pm, and Sun 11am-4pm.
Be sure not to miss Project Los Altos' Opening Night celebration that coincides with the Los Altos Village Association's Holiday Stroll on Friday, November 8th. Festivities will be running and the exhibit galleries open from 5pm to 9pm, so bring your family and friends and enjoy downtown Los Altos!
